You’re shopping around for a financial adviser and if it’s your first time working with one, you might be wondering what it’s like. Financial advisers are human beings and each of them will do some things differently and have their own quirks and we can’t speak for every financial adviser, but we can talk about what it’s like to work with us and it might give you an idea of how things work.
How do I speak with a financial adviser?
At Plan With Neil, the choice is yours. Some people prefer phone calls over video calls. Some people prefer meeting in person over talking on the phone or online. Whichever contact option you prefer, we’re happy to speak to you about your situation and how we can help you align your money to your objectives and help you make the most of your money.
What will we be talking about?
At Plan With Neil, we offer a free one hour consultation to help you make sure that we’re the right financial adviser for you. We’ll have relaxed chats about your situation and how we can help. If you’ve decided that Neil is the right financial adviser for you, we can talk more in detail about pensions, insurance, cash flow, investments, your retirement plan, and overall your master financial plan.
Financial planning doesn’t come cheap because you’re paying for someone else’s expertise, but think of it as an investment in your future and with our transparent subscription fees, you know what you’re getting and there’s no surprise costs. Unlike other financial advisers, we do not charge a percentage fee based on the size of your pot.
How often should I speak to a financial adviser?
You should be speaking with your financial adviser at least once a year for an annual planning meeting. This annual planning meeting is included in all of our subscription plans. People’s situations can change and it’s good to have a yearly review. Also included in our plans is unlimited phone and email access to Neil so if you have questions or your situation changes, you can keep us posted and we can provide the best service for you.
We hope this answers your questions about working with a financial adviser and we look forward to helping you. Thank you!
